Jesus did a lot of things that influenced today's world but I want to simply list two important areas that came about because the ministry of Jesus.

1 - You can do your own research but most of the hospitals that were built over the past 1500 years were funded completely or partially by various churches and/or church organizations.  I'm not saying "..so the church is awesome because they did that..." because the church as an organization is far from innocent but that's another topic.  Jesus did lots of healing so the early church was compelled to help the sick or wounded by continuing on what was started.

2 - The biggest  item that I want to cover is that Jesus brought a powerful message of love and the authority to overcome dark spiritual or demonic forces by the mention of his name IF used in the correct manner.

In Mark 1:34, "And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was."

In Matthew 9:32-33 - "As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”.

These are just a couple of examples where Jesus showed his authority over the dark spirits and in the book of Acts the disciples were able to do that as well.    The disciples were given the authority, like some of us today, to combat and defeat the schemes of the enemy in a literal sense !
I know for a fact because I have seen this first hand...unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, how the authority of the name of Jesus and the power of Holy Spirit cleanses evil, unclean spirits but I won't get into those testimonies at this time.
